2002-2004

Our Journey Begins

It all started with love. With the first palomino mare named Bavaria, who was a gift. With love for her strength, character, and energy, which is hard to explain but is undoubtedly felt by anyone who works with horses. Bavaria became a beloved companion. And soon after, she gave us an unexpected gift herself — she foaled a black colt named Bishep. That's when the desire arose not just to own a horse, but to provide the best conditions for raising the foal and unleashing its natural potential. Thus began our journey into the professional world of horse breeding.
2005 - 2006

Laying the Foundation

Our first 12-stall stable was built. At that time, we became deeply acquainted with the equestrian world and clearly understood that our calling was horse breeding. We chose the Ukrainian Riding Horse breed for show jumping and dressage. A breeding farm for Ukrainian Riding Horses (URH) was registered with the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine, obtaining a license for operation. Simultaneously, expansion began: construction of a new stable and acquisition of land for horse grazing.
2007 - 2011

Our Development Path

During this period, the farm actively built its breeding foundation: we worked with the Ukrainian Riding Horse breed, leased stallions, and acquired our own sire — a Westphalian stallion named Lido, who was key to our breeding work for six years.

It was then that we first turned to dressage lines and began working with the sire Sandros Diamond. Gradually, our vision shifted towards European breeding. This experience strengthened our approach to genetics, horse presentation, and allowed us to build a systematic approach to our work.
2012

Status Lab

In 2012, we opened our own mare artificial insemination laboratory.
This was an important step: we aimed for full control over reproduction quality, access to the best genetic material, and the ability to work according to modern European standards.
For this purpose, a technological and safe facility was created, necessary equipment was purchased, and a specialist was trained.

The very first insemination yielded results. And in 2013, we welcomed the first foal born from the frozen semen of top European sire San Amour. The successful outcome confirmed the effectiveness of our approach and inspired systematic work with top-tier genetics.
2013 - 2018

Shift in Breeding Strategy

During this period, we completely re-evaluated our breeding approach.
We gradually transitioned from working with the Ukrainian Riding Horse breed to breeding European horse breeds, with a focus on dressage.

Status Stud Farm became a member of the Oldenburg Verband, our broodmare herd was updated, and more and more foals were born on the farm from leading stallions worldwide — Furstenball, Franziskus FRH, Gray Flanell, For Romance I, Revolution, Diarado, and others.

It was during this period that the recognizable type of our horses emerged — elegant, refined, balanced, and intelligent, comfortable to work with and capable of achieving results for riders of various skill levels.
2019 – 2022

Results and Recognition

Since 2019, all foals at our farm have been born through artificial insemination. Success rates consistently exceed 80%, reaching 100% for three years.

It was during this period that the results of previous years' work began to show: our horses entered sports, confidently performed in arenas, and increased in value.
Dressage horses reached Grand Prix level.
In show jumping — victories and prize-winning places on 135–145 cm courses.
The stallion Lego by Lido became a winner of a World Cup stage in the Central Asian League.

Results build reputation. And with it, interest and demand that extend far beyond Ukraine.
2022 - 2024

Resilience and Growth

On February 24, 2022, a full-scale military invasion began in Ukraine — a test of strength and endurance. To the sound of explosions, foals were born, inseminations were carried out, and the farm's rhythm was maintained. We had no plans to cease our operations. On the contrary, it became important for us to solidify Ukraine's position on the global stage.

During this period, we not only preserved our processes but also strengthened them. New specialists joined the team, and a clear system of work was established both on the farm and in client interactions. We built a new stable for 36 horses, updated our breeding stock with German mares, and took a step into the global breeding community.
2025

Global Debut

In February 2024, Status Stud Farm presented its home-bred stallion Jeronimo (Jovian – For Romance I) at the Oldenburg Körung in Vechta, Germany — a key event of the breeding year.
This was the first dressage horse born in Ukraine, with Ukrainian riding horse blood on its dam's side, to be admitted to the main round among the world's strongest horses.

Thanks to our initiative, the Ukrainian Riding Horse breed was included in the Oldenburg Verband breeding program.
The next step into the sports community was the beginning of cooperation with Ukraine's strongest young rider, Oleksandra Potsiienko. At the end of 2025, the first young horses from Status Stud Farm traveled to Kyiv to prepare for the competition season.
