Description

Conformation

A masculine, well-muscled, and harmonious horse with a strong, sturdy build. He features well-developed, defined joints, a strong back, and a correct topline. His well-muscled neck, shoulders, and croup create a cohesive, proportional frame.

His striking coat color is particularly noteworthy, further enhancing his overall impressive appearance.

Gaits

Rhythmic, with a clear beat and active joint articulation. The horse demonstrates excellent shoulder freedom and active engagement of the hindquarters. The walk is ground-covering with good overtrack. The canter is impressive and balanced, with high forearm action and powerful hindquarter engagement. He possesses natural balance, carries himself with confidence, and maintains a consistent, expressive rhythm in motion.

Temperament

An energetic, vibrant, and charismatic horse. At the same time, he is safe and self-assured.

Pedigree

The pedigree combines dressage and show jumping lines—a cross currently popular in modern sport horse breeding. Such combinations have already proven successful in producing horses with the qualities required for competitive dressage.

Intended use

Dressage or eventing.

Sire

GLOCK’s Toto Jr. N.O.P. is one of the most successful sons of the legendary Totilas, having proven the value of his pedigree both in top-level sport and modern breeding. Today, Toto Jr. is an official stallion with the KWPN Keur predicate, awarded to him in 2025 for his outstanding achievements in sport and breeding.

Born in Germany, the stallion comes from a pairing of two dressage stars: Totilas × Desperados. His sire, Totilas, is a three-time world champion, world record holder, and one of the most influential sires in modern dressage. On his dam's side, Toto Jr. carries the bloodlines of Desperados FRH, a multiple European champion and Olympic medalist for the German team. This combination unites athletic talent, powerful movement mechanics, natural collection, and a high level of rideability in a single pedigree.

Toto Jr.’s sporting career developed at the highest international level. Ridden by Edward Gal and later by Hans Peter Minderhoud, the stallion successfully competed in Grand Prix and was a member of the Dutch Olympic team. Over many years, Toto Jr. demonstrated consistent results on the international stage and earned a reputation as a reliable Grand Prix-level partner.

Approved for breeding by the KWPN and the top performer at the 2014 KWPN Spring Stallion Performance Testing, the nine-year-old stallion scored 80.68% in the Grand Prix Special under Edward Gal, becoming the only horse to reach the 80% mark. The following day, the duo scored a massive 86.15% in the Freestyle. "When Toto Jr. was three, I already knew that if there was a horse that could run Totilas's Freestyle, it was him. I waited seven years for this. It’s still bold, but I have a feeling that Toto Jr. might be even better than his father." Currently, the pair of Toto Jr. and Hans Peter Minderhoud compete consistently at the Grand Prix level, and at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, they placed 16th with a score of 72.664%.

His breeding achievements are equally impressive; for several years, he was one of the most widely used stallions in the Netherlands. He produced the highest number of dressage foals in 2017—369—and presented the largest number of foals at auction in 2017 and 2018. It is thanks to his offspring that Toto Jr. received the highest breeding status, KWPN Keur Stallion. Today, the stallion is the sire of eight licensed KWPN sons, and his progeny consistently pass licensing in Europe's leading breeding societies. During the 2021 KWPN selection, eight of Toto Jr.’s sons were selected for further licensing stages, one of the best results among all sires that year. His offspring are highly popular, already achieving success in sport, with sons earning licenses, while the authority and influence of Toto Jr. himself continue to grow.

The quality of his daughters is a particularly important indicator. According to the KWPN, about 80% of Toto Jr.’s daughters receive the Ster status, 21% are voorlopig keur, and 36% are elite, which is an exceptionally high rate for a modern sire.

Toto Jr.’s offspring are successfully reaching the Grand Prix level. One notable descendant is Taminiau, the first son of Toto Jr. to compete at the Grand Prix level and one of the most promising dressage horses in the Netherlands. Other standout licensed and sport-performing descendants include O’Toto van de Wimphof, Inclusive, Inverness, Inspire, and other representatives of the line who are successful in both sport and breeding.

Breeders particularly value Toto Jr. for his ability to consistently pass on a modern sport type, expressive trot, active hindquarters, good canter, natural ability for collection, and a high level of rideability. His offspring are noted for their elasticity, harmonious conformation, and competitiveness both at licensing events and in the sports arena.

Today, GLOCK’s Toto Jr. N.O.P. is rightfully considered one of the most significant continuers of the Totilas line. His name appears regularly in the pedigrees of Europe’s best young dressage horses, and his sporting and breeding achievements confirm his status as one of the leading sires of the modern dressage horse.

Dam

Heraldika is a highly respected broodmare at Status Stud Farm, born and raised on the premises. She remained in the stud's breeding program until the age of 18 and is deservedly considered one of the most successful dams in our breeding history. Her offspring have confirmed her high breeding value through their performance in sport.

Heraldika's descendants compete successfully in show jumping and demonstrate high athletic potential. One of her daughters currently competes at the Grand Prix level in dressage, while other offspring have achieved significant results in show jumping at heights up to 140 cm. All of Heraldika's progeny are exceptionally reliable sport partners.

Heraldika is out of the Trakehner mare Grappa, representing influential Trakehner bloodlines traditionally highly valued for their stamina, sturdy constitution, work ethic, and temperament. Her sire is Caravaggio, a son of Cornet Obolensky, who was successfully licensed in Westphalia and stood as a stallion at the Zhashkiv and Petrykivka stud farms.

Heraldika's offspring consistently inherit a balanced temperament, strong bone structure and limbs, high physical endurance, a strong work ethic, and psychological resilience to athletic demands. It is this combination of traits, paired with the proven performance of her descendants, that has made Heraldika one of the most important broodmares at Status Stud Farm.

When choosing a foal from Heraldika, you can be confident that you are getting a reliable, sturdy horse capable of withstanding significant physical and mental pressure while maintaining performance and stability.
